Last day at Disney World, day 4: Animal Kingdom

What a fun, happy, exhausting week we had!  Here's our last post of our wonderful Disney World vacation!

Amelia had this whole bed to herself!
Sleeping under the moon with Mater :)

Lydia bed hopped from hers to ours the last night.

When we started into Animal Kingdom you pass through the Animal Oasis.
Lots of excitement from the kids!
Macaws

Black-necked Swans
I'd like to have a pond like this.

Rhinoceros Iguana

Crossing the bridge to Africa.
Expedition Everest is the mountain in the background.
Mommy and Daddy rode it by ourselves!  What?!

Lydia is so cute!

Posing in the line for the Kilimanjaro Safari.
Why are we posing?
It's a forest of bamboo!  And Granny loves bamboo :)

A few of the animals on the safari.
Hard to describe the level of excitement from the kids while they searched the savanna for animals that our guide was telling us about.
Such a fun ride for everyone!

I'm not going to try to remember the names of all of the animals.
Those are some big horns on those cows!

He stood there chewing his food as if he didn't even notice us!

This is called "What was I taking a picture of?"
I really don't know, so if you spot anything let me know!

How Amelia felt about the Safari...

Elephants!

Baby elephants!

Cheetah
Left side, behind the grass.

That's the mighty Lion King…taking a nap.

Zebras!

These amazing deer do not drink water.
They get all the fluid they need from the grass they eat!
Wow!

Unfortunately the bumpy ride was not conducive to a lot of pictures.

We made our way to Rafiki's planet Watch via the Wildlife Express Train.

Checking out the Golden Lion Tamarin

The gang.

Chip and Dale came out for a dance party!

And we were first in line for pictures!  That never happens! :)

Conservation Station
These kids can't contain their energy anymore!

Yep, of course my kids will touch it!

Rafiki's autograph too!

Amelia was a little unsure :)

The Tree of Life

We made our way to the Pangani Forest Exploration Trails where we got to see...
Gorillas

And brand new baby gorillas!!
So precious!
Mommy was making baby work on crawling!

She moved a little further away each time he got within a few inches.
Tough Mommy!

Then on to Asia and the Maharajah Jungle Trek

Fruit bats or flying foxes?

This guy was waiting for breakfast.

This girl was finishing her breakfast.

Pretty little birds.

Komodo Dragon

We ate lunch in Africa at Tamu Tamu refreshments.
YUMMY!
At least Mommy and Daddy liked it.
Quinoa Salad and Slow-cooked beef with cucumber mint sauce!

Daddy, Lydia, Papa and Jayden rode the Kali River Rapids.
Of course Lydia was the only one on the boat to get SOAKED!

She loved it though!
And Daddy got her new t-shirt too!

We made our way to DinoLand USA
TriceraTop Spin

The Boneyard
Tons of slides and climbing!

And digging!!

We ate dinner at Restaurantosaurus and everyone agreed we loved it the most!
Yummy food, no crowd, cool building...

Daddy, Nana, Julius and Jayden rode Dinosaur the ride.
They had a blast, even if it was a little scary.

Their kid meals came in buckets!
Another reason we liked the restaurant!

AHHHH!

Our favorite gift shop!
Chester and Hester's Dinosaur Treasures

Last ride on the bus back to the resort to climb into the truck and start our drive home!
I think we could have just taken them on a bus ride through town and they would've had fun!
They sat in the back pretending to be at war with the cars around us and you should've heard the shrieks of laughter!

One last picture of the mouse who started it all!

What a great trip!
Can't wait to go again soon!
