Enjoying some sun in April!!

We made a trip to the zoo!  Alway fun to see frogs!

So this is what a hermit crab feels like!

The Lemurs were enjoying the sun too!

And this is what it feels like being a beaver and sliding down the river bank :)

Our favorite goat....I think he remembers us...or not :)

See he did remember us, lol!

Lydia enjoys stroller rides!

Julius, this is what the beach looks like!

Oooh, sharks!

The world's smallest sea horses!  So cute!

Lydia wanted to check out the fish from above too!

All the animals were happy to see the sun!

Wolves!  Our favorite animals!

The friendly muskox :)

Who knew this is how tall a full grown male polar bear is????  All the more reason to never live in Alaska!!!

I Love to see the Temple!

A Hoppy Easter!

Getting ready for our Easter Egg Hunt!  The shoes eventually made it onto her feet! :)

Julius is not too happy with the camera these days...or rather he would like to play peek-a-boo every time it comes out!

So happy we had some sun for our egg hunt at the church!  We enjoyed a lesson on Easter and then decorated a bag for our eggs (in case we forgot to bring our basket) and we decorated a yummy sugar cookie!  Then it was time for little ones to hunt for eggs!

Being out in the sun is wonderful...doesn't make a difference that we are hunting for eggs in a parking lot!

Eventually it turns into checking out each egg before it goes in the basket!

We had a great time!

We also dyed eggs at home!  Julius broke a few shells before we could get him to gently put the eggs in the cups!  Good thing we had 18 eggs!  Lydia loves being in the middle of things!

Waiting patiently for our eggs to come out!

After coloring with a wax crayon...he thought we were a little crazy!  Why did I color a white egg with a white crayon??

Easter morning!  The Easter Bunny was good to Julius and Lydia :)

He was super excited and really didn't eat too much candy with all the new cars and toys to play with!

Love them!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  We sure did!

It's the little things!

Julius practicing his shot!!  He loves to play basketball, well any sport that he gets to throw a ball really!

Lydia enjoying some banana!  Definitely her favorite food!

Daddy got Julius a little toy storage reading bench...and that's just what he uses it for!

Love her chunky cheeks!!

So it may be time to find those missing pieces that make this stay flat on the ground....

...or we can just play peek-a-boo :)

Playing with our busy bags!  This bag came with colorful noodles to separate into cups!  Julius also enjoyed pouring the noodles!  It kept him busy :)

Helping Mommy with the laundry!  I needed some place to sit Lydia while I filled the washing machine...who needs a bumbo when you have a laundry basket, lol!

Listening to General Conference.  Sanford had to do a little entertaining for us, good thing Lydia LOVES the dogs!  And they love her!

Julius during General Conference...taking notes and snacking like Mommy :)

Love her chunky legs too!!

Yes, she is supposed to be on the blanket but is quite the squirmer and made her way over to the dogs!

What great times we are having!  Just a few things about the kids...
Julius is talking quite a bit these days!  He likes to say "Oh man!" when something doesn't quite go right.  He affectionately calls Nick and I "Momdy" when we are both in the house and he wants both of us to pay attention.  He knows the colors blue, green, orange, red, purple, pink, white and is working on yellow and black.  He has memorized the book Today is Monday by Eric Carle and loves to read it with us!  He will do anything for the baby...pick up her paci, share his toys, play on the ground next to her, anything!  He also wrestles and was kicked out of nursery one Sunday for that reason!  He now knows he only wrestles with Daddy and not at church!  He loves church and will ask to go randomly during the week!  He still loves to play with any kind of car, truck, plane or train!  If we are driving down the road and there is a car stopped on the side of the road he tells us it is broken and "Uncle John will fix it!"  He was 31 lbs and 37 inches at his check-up this week!
Lydia is a rolling machine!  She will start out one way on the floor and within minutes is across the room in a different position...one squirmy roll at a time!  She loves to have things in her hands and is easily entertained as long as she can see one of us!  She enjoys eating baby food!  She also loves the little baby cookies and fruit that she can hold and chew!  She will laugh out loud at Julius if he simply says "boo" to her!  She will smile at everyone!  She loves to play peek-a-boo with a blanket!  Unlike her brother, she loves to be on her tummy!  She was 19 lbs. 6 oz. and 28 inches at her check-up in March!
Time sure does fly when you are having fun!  Everyday brings a new adventure!  We are so blessed!
