Nick's Graduation Weekend- May 29-30
Yay for Nicholas! These are a few pictures of the graduation ceremony...all very boring until Nicholas came in and I had someone to stare at :)
The drumline would have been really entertaining...unfortunately I hadn't seen Nicholas yet and I was not interested in listening to them...bring in the recruits already!!!!
Finally they arrived!! Evelyn and I were able to pick him out...Linda said she never could find him :(
Division 208...Nicholas is there but it's kind of hard to explain...so...
Eating some civilian food: Taco Bell and Pizza Hut!
The Volo Car Museum, Nicholas chose this place obviously!
The Flinstone Car
Nick also wanted to go to Six Flags...we had a lot of fun! The roller coasters were as fun as ever! We both enjoy riding new rides!

And the surprise is...
We're expecting!! I have added the baby ticker to the blog...so, now you all can keep up with our progress :) I haven't gone to the doctor yet, but will post pics as soon as I get them! I'm feeling very good, just nauseous when I get hungry...saltine crackers remedy that situation very quickly and then I can eat whatever. I am planning on walking atleast 3 times a week and working out my arms! I want to stay in good shape...let me know if you guys know any good ways to do that! So, that's that for now.
Nick is at Boot Camp right now but will be graduating on May 29th! He will then head off to A-school and then probably submarine school. That could be flip-flopped, but I probably won't know for sure until it happens. He is doing well. I have received several letters and spoken to him once about two weeks ago. I miss him very, very much!!
Right now I'm working at Southwest Middle school and ready for summer! :) Check out the Fox's blog to see some pics of my graduation...

In the NAVY

So we had a little cake for Nick on Sunday. Mom made it and I think the whole point was so we could sing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" since we didn't sing it at dinner the other night :)
Monday morning we had our little photo shoot of Nick before taking off to the recruiter station. Yes, he is joining th Navy and not the NBA....I'm afraid he will never look the part!
Grandma Linda and Nick's mom, Evelyn. Nick was kind of worried about saying goodbye to them...they all did very well hiding the tears!
Here's his goodbye party. We were planning to say goodbye to Nick and then go eat lunch but we ended up having a lot more time, so after saying goodbye one time, Nick's mom and grandma left, then we went to Chick-fil-a with Kerriann, Mom and the girls, then we waited some more, then Mom and Kerri left, and then I finally left at about 2:30. Nick left around 3:00. It was hard but now I can start counting down the days until I see him again!!

Well, just to let you all know...the permanent marker did come off with baby oil. Also, the Imagination Movers is a Disney show that has a character who is boring because everything he owns, wears, etc. is tan! And she was crying when we first found out...more from embarrassment I'm sure! After the video, Mommy did have a discussion about it :)
