Granny's Visiting #2

Santa Clause came to town!!  We had to trek up to another street in our neighborhood to catch him, but it was worth the hike!

Now anytime Julius sees Santa he also says "whee-oo", as in fire truck :)

The Big 2!!  A little reluctantly...

Birthday presents from cousins...

Lydia has found her hands!!  She has not looked back either...now she's starting to eye her feet!

A much more gentle big brother these days!

Granny reading a little I Am Legend to Lydia, lol!! j/k!

See...she loves her hands!

We had a great time at the Festival of Choirs...at least I think Granny was ok with it :)

Ready to go home!

Lydia soaking up Granny time + Granny soaking up baby time = Mommy taking a break time!

Rocking the baby is hard work!  Guess it's easier sitting down!

Lovies!

Picture Perfect!

At least Lydia knows what the camera is there for :)

More of our Granny time pics to come!!  This is only about halfway through the month!

Granny's Visiting!

We all like to participate in tummy time so I thought I would try to take pictures like that...did not work too well, maybe when Lydia is a little stronger :)

I love Ross!  These little flatbed trucks with a car are a favorite every time we go through a toy section in any store but they are always a little pricey.  Thanks to Ross and $3.99 clearance!  The slippers were too cute to pass up too!

My favorite outfit right now, or should I say Mommy's favorite outfit right now :)

Christmas tree shopping!  Granny's first day here!!  So much fun!

Just the right size!

Look what Santa left in my stocking!! :)

Decorating the Christmas tree, Julius liked our Harry Potter ornament!  It's the gargoyle entrance to Professor Dumbledore's office and Professor McGonnagal's voice says, "Professor Dumbledore will be waiting for you, Sherbert Lemon."

We celebrated Julius's 2nd Birthday with a Polar Express party!  Mommy really enjoyed making the cake, even if it took until 2am! :)

Julius had his friends, Josiah, Dylan, Nathan and Mikey over to celebrate with us.

We decorated gingerbread houses.

We had lunch then cake, I promise :)

And he loved all of his presents!!

Granny and Lydia enjoyed the party too!  Actually, Lydia slept through most of the party! Her friends Caroline and Abby had fun though!

Working on the railroad!

Noisy toys are so much fun!

We took Granny to Seattle!!  This is a Christmas Train Village that is set up each year in the Seattle City Center building.  Julius loved having lunch and watching the train make its way around the city!

Mommy made Lydia a gingerbread house too!

Our one picture of Granny in Seattle with us...because I forgot my camera card and she forgot her camera :( But we had a great time visiting the City Center and Pike's Place Market!  Especially enjoyed our lunch at the Pizza Haven because the manager was kind enough to come looking for us when they realized they had charged us an extra $10 and he wanted to give it back to us!!  I need to pay more attention too!!
We are loving every minute of Granny's visit!!  Many more pics to come!

Lydia's Blessing and Christmas Presents in October

We forgot to take our picture at church...so here we are in the kitchen :) Granny made Lydia's dress and it is beautiful! Nick will be mad that I shared this but...when we got to church that morning he asked me what Lydia's middle name was...as if that isn't funny enough! I told him Ruth and he explained to me that he had been thinking Ruthann or Ann all morning. I just laughed at him. Well, as he started the blessing he came to the part about her name and said Lydia Ann, then of course he paused and corrected it to Lydia Ruth, lol! So when they sat back down he said the whole way up to the stand he was telling himself "not Ann, not Ann..." hee hee! It was pretty funny to us! Everyone at church thought maybe he had changed her name! I told him it was Gram Vogel (Ann) trying to get us to name Lydia after her :) I guess my next girl will have to be Ann :) Ruth is my Grandma Kokinda's middle name :)

Sweet baby girl!

It's hard to decide which pictures to share sometimes! So I chose a few!

This is Lydia's routine at night...fall asleep on the couch while Mommy and Daddy straightened up the house.

Christmas presents from Daddy! We decided to give Julius his train set early, really wanted to enjoy the happiness together! While I worked the camera Nick practiced his multitasking!

Julius is saying "choo choo" at this point and is very ready to get those trains out of there!

Get this paper out of here!

And the train track!

"Whoa!" "What's that?"

Setting up the track!

It was definitely worth giving him his present early!! We have all enjoyed playing with the train track! Can't believe he is old enough to play with trains already!!

Helicopters and fall leaves! It was a blustery day outside, but I wanted to snap a pic of the beautiful leaves before they were all blown off the trees!

Lydia--1 month!
